Final Music Video

This is my final music video production. I edited majority of the music video, as I was in charge of the editing role, however, my group partner, Naomi, helped edit just a few bits. Moreover, I also filmed some of the footage presented in the video, but my group partner was in charge of the filming, therefore she also filmed footage which is displayed in the music video. In addition, I am also featured in the video, as my eyes and a close-up of my face is used/shown within the music video.

Feedback on Magazine Advertisement

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK ON MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENT:

Nancy "I really like this product. I love the fact that it has got a colour scheme, because that instantly makes it eye-catching and appealing to your target audience. This magazine advert strengthens the overall brand and enables me to link the two products (album cover/digipak and this) together, as they involve similar colours, which also conforms to your target audience, as because this magazine advert consists of bright and vibrant colours, it symbolises and represents 'youth', which is really good.

Jana "This whole design is really good. I love the colour scheme used, and the fact that the image used is slightly different to the image used on the album cover/digipak, makes it more interesting and engaging. Also, because the image used on the magazine advert is similar to your album cover, is really good, as this keeps all your products in sync.

Rebecca "This overall product is really nice, because it's really eye-catching and attractive. The fact that your main model (jasmine) is at the front of the boys, makes your magazine advert stand out even more, because this makes the overall advert conform to the other magazine advertisements currently in the market, as the females in bands tend to be showcased more clearly than the male members".

Magazine Advertisement for digipak (Final)

I have made a lot of changes and improvements to my magazine advert, and this is evident in my previous post, which is of the draft version of my magazine advert. Moreover, based on the feedback that I received from my class mates and others, I specifically knew what I had to change and improve, on my magazine advertisement, and therefore, the types of changes and enhancements that I made on/to my magazine advert were:
  • Adding Reviews /Ratings from music based magazine companies, such as 'NME'.
  • Changing the font type of my Album name and Band Name.
  • Adding phrases that are strategic techniques and a way of increasing sales, such as, "featuring the hit singles..."
  • Added website of the band.
  • Added information about the apps and stores, where one can purchase the album.
  • An added overlay of colourful block types faded into the main image of the three artists.
  • Lines included under the band name, album name, and under the 'featuring the hit singles' phrase.

    MY CHOSEN MAGAZINE ADVERT IMAGE

After referring to my target audience feedback. I have decided that the image of which I will use for my magazine advertisement is this one. This is because, from my own personal perspective and opinion, and as well as considering and keeping in mind the customer feedback that I received, this picture was most liked and appreciated, as many people said that it was the most suitable, appropriate, and professional looking yet slightly unique type of image to use for my magazine cover. Also, as I asked people who are representatives of my target audience, which is teenagers aged 15+, I really made sure that I considered their opinions, as if they like it, then there is a high possible chance that the rest of my overall target audience would also like this image best, to be showcased on my magazine advert, which leads me to creating a successful product that is easily appealing and engaging to my target audience.

    Shortlist for Magazine Avdertisement Images

SHORTLISTED SELECTION OF IMAGES FOR MAGAZINE ADVERT

Here is a shortlisted selection of the pictures that we took during the photoshoot for my magazine advertisement.  I chose these images as my favourites for representing my magazine advertisement, as  not only do they have the same models as my album cover, (ensuring all my products are in sync) but they also are of a high professional standard, making it certain that they will be appealing to my target audience.

    CUSTOMER FEEDBACK:
Customer one "I really like these images, my favourite one is the fourth image, as I feel this is most professional looking and has the full attention of all models. For example the third image is good, but one of your models is not looking at the camera which can be distracting and make your product look less professional. For this reason I would suggest possibly using the fourth image".
Customer Two "These images are really great. My favourites are image one and image two, because I feel they look most professional and I like the fact that in the first image, one of your models (Luka) isn't looking directly into the camera but instead is standing in a 'cool' and model-like way/position, which makes it appealing to your target audience, since it is different from the typical types of magazine advert images. However, I don't like the third image, as I feel the models look distracted and exhibit a lack of connection which isn't professional".
Customer three  "All these images are great, however if I were to pick one, I would say number one, because I like how not all three models are directly looking into the camera, and that Luka's posture and body language is giving off a typical 'Cool Kid' look/style/vibe, which conforms to your genre of pop/indie pop and music video song meaning of 'Cool kids'".
Customer four "I love all these images, however my favourite would be number one, followed by number four. This is because I feel they look the most professional and Representative of other products currently in the market. For example, the fourth image is a slight medium close-up of the three models, which I like as this engages and entices the audience further".
